I'm Bruce

—a great cat looking for a new home.

This is me:

I was found. Although older, I'm still fit, confident, and a bit cheeky—but I also really enjoy cuddling. I love being in the company of my humans and chatting with them. At the shelter, I'm friendly and people-oriented. Sometimes I have my playful moments and chase after the fishing rod toy or treats. If I get overwhelmed, I might give a little affectionate nip, but then I go back to cuddling. Mentally, I'm still quite sharp and enjoy puzzle toys. I would also enjoy clicker training. I'm also interested in other cats and would love a companion my own age. His personality should be similar to mine.

I have been diagnosed with diabetes mellitus. I need my insulin injection twice a day, every 12 hours. I manage this well because I love to eat and am then focused on my food. A daily blood sugar profile needs to be created at least once a month to measure my blood sugar. My animal caretakers will, of course, advise you in detail about this. My kidney values are slightly elevated, so this should be monitored.

I wish for a home with people who have plenty of time for me. Children should be at least 10 years old. The household shouldn't be too hectic, as I am older and enjoy peace and quiet. A neutered male companion cat of a suitable age would be ideal, but not essential. I will only be placed in an indoor home. I would be absolutely thrilled with a secured balcony or a well-secured window. Would you like to give me a home?
