I'm Kay

… and even though I'm not particularly big, I have a big personality and I'm looking for a home with experienced dog owners.

This is me:

I'm a lively, confident guy who knows what he wants. I'm also deaf, so I can't hear spoken commands. Therefore, I need people who can communicate with me using hand signals and are willing to train this with me.

I'm a spirited dog who likes to comment on everything around me. I can also get quite worked up on the leash and jump on it. When I get stressed, I tend to snap. Unfortunately, this has led to biting incidents with people in the past. I can be walked calmly past other dogs.

I need time to build trust and get used to new people. Therefore, it's important that my future family can accurately assess my behavior and not overwhelm me. I don't like strangers at all at first; that takes time. What I especially need is a calm, well-structured daily routine with clear rules that I can rely on. Because even though I'm small, I shouldn't be underestimated. I wish for... a home with experienced, confident people who are also familiar with more challenging dogs. You should provide me with security, establish clear boundaries, and be willing to work with me. I'm looking forward to a quiet, low-stimulus residential area on the outskirts of a city or in the countryside—too much hustle and bustle and constantly changing impressions wouldn't be for me. There shouldn't be any children in the household. Since I need a lot of time to get used to new people, several visits to the animal shelter will be absolutely necessary. We should get to know each other in a relaxed setting so that I can build trust. Would you like to get to know me?
