Flo was offered for free. Life was too hectic in the family, and he learned to defend himself by snapping. Flo originally comes from Romania, and after much research, we tracked down the original rescue organization, but they were no longer interested in the dog and wouldn't take him back.

We took Flo in, and the beginning wasn't easy. He now gets along well with many people and dogs at his foster home. Flo needs time to get to know his people. You can't just pick up this sweet guy and cuddle him right away. He chooses his people.

It was simply too hectic for Flo in the young family with the children, and the only way he could get some peace and quiet was to snap. Unfortunately, this caused Flo to lose his trust in people and learn to lunge forward whenever something scares him. However, this doesn't mean Flo isn't adoptable. His foster mom can do anything with him; there he shows himself to be a very cuddly, funny guy. He also gets along with other dogs, although of course, compatibility always plays a role. Men are a problem, and naturally, there shouldn't be any small children in the household. He doesn't yet cope well with anything that moves quickly, like bicycles, joggers, etc. Flo still needs to learn how to deal with environmental stimuli. However, he is already familiar with his muzzle. Flo is a task that can be a lot of fun if you have the time and patience and are committed to positive reinforcement training. It's wonderful when such a small, insecure bundle of energy becomes a dog who can rely on his people. UPDATE (June 2025): An incredibly sweet little troll, but he has his quirks, for example, with strangers, the vet, and cyclists. He's mastering many things quite well now.

He takes a very long time to build trust, but once you do, you have a loyal, sweet little imp. He'll do almost anything for treats 😅.

He turned 3 years old in April and is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated.

He shouldn't be around small children. He gets along with cats if you give him time to get to know them—he's just a bit wary. But he can be left alone without any problems, and while he doesn't really like car rides, he tolerates them.
