I'm Frauke

... and I was found. Unfortunately, I've been waiting in the shelter for several years. I'm not an easy dog, but I've learned a lot and now walk calmly on a leash. I'm looking for experienced dog owners who can guide me confidently and consistently.

Would you like to know more about me?

Outdoors, I'm quite fearless, don't need marathon walks, and love to swim. I immediately sense when someone is insecure – clear, calm leadership is crucial for me. My challenge lies indoors: My own resources (resting places, food) are extremely important to me. I don't readily tolerate even my caregivers in "my" space. Therefore, for the settling-in period, I need my own dog room, separated by a gate. The sofa and bed are off-limits, especially at the beginning, so I don't become guarded for additional resources. With good feeding management and clear rules, living together will be very relaxed after the initial settling-in period. I don't care for other dogs and would prefer to be the only dog; I usually ignore other dogs outside. We'll need to test whether and how well I can be left alone and, if necessary, practice patiently. I can also live in a more urban setting, but not on an upper floor (no many stairs, no elevator with strangers). I'm looking for... very experienced dog owners (max. 1-2 primary caregivers) who can confidently read canine communication, manage my behavior consistently, and give me clear, fair rules from the very beginning. There shouldn't be any children in the household – generally, not too many people or too much commotion. And please plan for several introductory visits to the shelter. My animal caretakers are happy to help with setting up the dog room, management, and training. Please note: In Berlin (and other German states), I am required to wear a muzzle and be on a leash; I also need the landlord's permission. In Brandenburg, I could be rehomed without restrictions – however, a muzzle is still a permanent part of my management. Are we a perfect match?
