I'm Arkor

... a young, typical Rottweiler male. I came to the shelter because my owner sadly passed away. Now I'm looking for a new, stable home with clear rules, lots of love, and patience.

Would you like to know more about me?

I'm friendly, strong, and clever. I know basic commands and walk nicely on a leash. Typical of Rottweilers, I'm protective of what's important to me: food, toys (I still need to practice letting go), and sometimes even "my" people – this is socially motivated, but it needs management and training. I don't always appreciate being touched everywhere; however, those who read my body language will get along well with me.

I wear my muzzle reliably and will continue to wear it in certain situations for the time being – because there was a biting incident. With clear structure, fair guidance, and rewards, I learn quickly and enjoy playing, and I also love it. I'm looking for... a home experienced with dogs, preferably my breed, and without children – ideally with a confident single person. I shouldn't have to climb stairs in my new home. A calm environment, clear routines, training in reassurance and impulse control, as well as consistent muzzle and safety management will help me settle in. Please plan for several visits to get to know each other and build trust. Am I a good fit for you?
