Stone

Berlin area · In shelter since Aug 2023
Staffordshire Mix
·Terrier
ca. 4 years

Stone was seized for animal welfare reasons. He is currently proving to be a rather stubborn, lively, and untrained male dog. This needs to be channeled in the right direction so that he can cope well in everyday life. Attending a dog training school would be beneficial for him. He already knows the basic commands. Stone is very insecure in new situations and then starts licking his paws. As a result, his front paws are already somewhat sore from licking. The current situation is far from ideal for him, and therefore we are looking for a home with dog experience, and ideally with experience with his breed, where he can find peace. Ideally, his new home would also have experience with more challenging dogs. With a consistent caregiver by his side, he will gain more security, and there is a good chance that he will become more relaxed as a result. He doesn't like strangers at first, so several visits will be necessary for him to get to know us. Due to his breed, Stone is required to wear a muzzle and be kept on a leash, and landlord approval is also necessary. If he gets along well, he could probably be kept as a second dog – this would need to be tested. His new home should be quite quiet, and there should be no children in the household. We look forward to hearing from you.
