I'm Denver

—a sensitive dog who doesn't immediately give his heart to everyone. I'm looking for an experienced home that can guide me with practiced management and bring out the best in me.

This is me:

I need some time to really get to know people. Initially, I'm very reserved and shy, and I prefer to observe from a safe distance. Once I've gained trust, however, I can bond closely with my people.

I haven't had much training so far, so there's still a lot to learn. Unfortunately, I've bitten in the past, and I tend to be resource-protective. However, with good management and clear rules, this can be well managed in everyday life. I'm not a dog who makes the right decisions on his own—I need people who can give me guidance and take responsibility.

I wish for… A home with experienced people who are familiar with more demanding dogs and will continue working with me. There should be no children in the household. A quiet home on the outskirts of town or in a rural setting would suit me best. I shouldn't have to climb stairs. Perhaps I could show you what else I'm capable of?
