For over 17 years, we have been actively committed to animal welfare in Greece – particularly in Karditsa (Thessaly) and Kavala (Eastern Macedonia) on the mainland. Our goal is to sustainably reduce animal suffering, improve existing structures, and create long-term solutions. We work transparently, based on current knowledge and in close collaboration with local animal welfare activists Evanthia Thanou (Evi) and Konstantinos Gitisoglou (Kostas), as well as with local communities. 💙 What we do * Raising awareness and promoting prevention among the population * Documenting and reporting abuses * Project work (e.g., supply runs, spaying and neutering, forest fire fighting) * Monthly donation transports for local animal care * Finding loving homes for dogs Our approach: Change through communication, knowledge, and collaboration. 🤍 Local Collaboration We work directly with the communities and our long-time animal welfare advocates Evanthia Thanou (Evi) and Konstantinos Gitisoglou (Kostas). This ensures that aid arrives, is monitored, and has a lasting impact. 💙 Transparency * Animal transfers are handled exclusively through TRACES * Permit according to §11 of the Animal Welfare Act * Recognized as a non-profit organization * Confirmed as eligible for tax-deductible donations by the Krefeld tax office * Documented evidence of receiving and accepting in-kind donations in Greece 🤍 Volunteering as a Conviction Our entire team works on a voluntary basis. No one receives compensation—quite the opposite: We invest our own time, energy, and often our own money to achieve our organization's goals.
