Cookie was seized for violating animal welfare laws. Our animal caretakers describe her as a princess with a few issues. Once she trusts someone, she's outgoing, a joyful little whirlwind, and adorable. But she would bite in some everyday situations if unsecured. Cookie is easy to train, although food as a resource is a major source of conflict for her, and she already knows the basic commands. Hunting games are off-limits for her. She is very attached to people and is currently only friendly with familiar faces. She cannot climb stairs and will receive lifelong, free treatment at our veterinary clinic for severe knee osteoarthritis and early-stage osteoarthritis in her elbows. We are looking for a home for Cookie with knowledgeable breed experts. She will only be placed with people who have experience handling potentially dangerous dogs. In her new ground-floor home, she needs a clearly defined area. She is not suitable for homes with children. Getting to know each other at the animal shelter will require a longer period of time with regular visits. Please note that due to her breed, she is subject to muzzle and leash requirements, and landlord permission is necessary for keeping her.
