I'm Balou

—a demanding dog who longs for nothing more than a safe home with people he can rely on.

This is me:

Unfortunately, I'm a rather insecure fellow and sometimes try to handle situations myself. Therefore, I need people who can take this responsibility off my hands and show me that I can depend on them. Once I've formed a close bond, I tend to be protective of my people. Unfortunately, this has led to biting incidents in the past. I also guard my resources. My future home should therefore be able to read my body language well and handle such situations with ease.

Food is a great motivator for me. However, I can sometimes be a bit overeager and still need to learn to restrain myself. Something else you should know: I absolutely cannot be left alone at the moment. Therefore, I need people who have enough time for me or who can practice with me over a very long period of time. I wish for… a calm home with very experienced and confident dog owners who can provide me with security and give me clear rules. A quiet area with as little commotion as possible would be ideal for me. There should be no children in my new home. I also prefer not to have another dog and would like to live as the only pet. I need people who take my insecurities seriously, work with me consistently and patiently, and help me develop more trust and composure. Would you like to meet me?
