May we introduce: the charming Balou! This friendly male dog, approximately 4 years and 2 months old, is a real treasure for the right people. Balou is sporty, eager to learn, and easily motivated with treats – perfect for shared adventures and advanced training! Once you've gained his trust, Balou shows his very best side: He's an extremely friendly companion who enjoys every cuddle. He already knows the basics of dog training and even surprises with a few tricks beyond that. The basics of leash training are also present, but should be further refined with patience and enjoyment. A big plus: Balou shows no resource guarding towards food or toys. Balou is looking for a home with dog-experienced people who understand his little quirk: He is initially skeptical of strangers, especially men. He needs time to warm up. He feels uncomfortable around children, which is why we cannot place him in a home with children. His compatibility with other dogs is conditional; he often feels insecure and overwhelmed. However, he gets along well with confident female dogs and could therefore be ideally placed as a second dog with a relaxed female. A quiet environment without other animals in the household is beneficial for Balou, so that he can settle in and thrive.
