Rusty, European Shorthair, approx. 7-9 years old (born approx. 2018), is looking for an understanding home! Hello, I'm Rusty. I was recently surrendered to the animal shelter, and my whole world collapsed. Suddenly everything was different. Strange people, strange sounds, strange smells. I'm finding it difficult to cope with everyday life here so far, and I don't really know how to deal with it all. At the moment, I'm therefore a bit grumpy and making it clear that I'd rather have some peace and quiet. A lot of closeness or expectations are just too much for me right now. I need time to adjust to my new situation and, first and foremost, to understand that nothing bad will happen to me anymore. Perhaps there's still a bit of that old tomcat inside me that can learn to trust again. But for that, I need patient, understanding people who don't have high expectations of me. People who will simply give me the time I need. Our cats are neutered/spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed before being rehomed.
