We regularly care for approximately 50 dogs and 80 cats, as well as goats, sheep, and chickens. Most of these animals have been abused, abandoned, or neglected. These animals often suffer not only physical but also emotional injuries. We try to help them individually through affection, activity, and training, as well as the use of Bach flower remedies. The care and support of free-roaming cats is a matter close to our hearts. We support and encourage the introduction of mandatory identification and neutering within the framework of the Cat Protection Ordinance throughout the Oberhavel district, as well as its implementation. Small animals and hedgehogs in need also find temporary homes with us. In our hedgehog sanctuary, we care for injured and sick hedgehogs. Once they have been nursed back to health, they can be released into the wild. We are a competent partner for law enforcement and police authorities, as well as veterinary authorities, when it comes to found animals, animal transport, and animal rescue.
