Dante

Dante is a sad example of what happens when dogs fall into the wrong hands. He was surrendered to a shelter at just six months old and rehomed three times, but was always returned due to biting incidents before finally ending up with us. This strong fellow needs very experienced people who are familiar with difficult dogs and are willing to work with him.

The self-assured Dante is only friendly to people he knows – and, as is typical for a Mastiff, he is very protective of his territory. He is house-trained, can be left alone at home for a few hours, and travels well in the car. He is protective of his food and toys.

We are looking for experienced owners for Dante who are familiar with the breed and have experience with difficult dogs. He needs a rural home with a securely fenced property that he can guard. He will not be placed in a city. Children should not live in the household.

Please plan several visits to the shelter to get to know him properly. Please also note that landlord permission is required to keep him.

Do you have the perfect home for our Dante? We look forward to your inquiry!
