Tierschutzverein Tierfreunde Filderstadt e.V.

Our association was founded on July 11, 1995, by 75 dedicated animal lovers. While our work began in the homes of animal rights activists, our goal from the outset was to build an animal shelter that would provide optimal housing for our animals. With the strong support of the then mayor of Filderstadt, groundbreaking took place on the "Im Eichholz" site in March 1999. The association was able to raise most of the construction costs through membership fees, donations, and events. The animal shelter was inaugurated in April 2000. Since then, there have been repeated expansions to ensure the appropriate care of all residents.
