Hello, dear dog lovers! I am Andina (in my current home I am affectionately called Mila) – a young, beautiful girl, born in December 2025, with a shoulder height of approximately 50 cm. With my pretty black coat, charming brown markings above my eyes and on my legs, and my loyal dark eyes, I am a real eye-catcher. I am a clever and eager-to-learn female dog who already knows basic commands, loves search games above all else, and enjoys being challenged with my keen sense of smell. At the same time, I also have a stubborn streak and need people who support me with clear structures, consistency, and lots of patience. When interacting with strangers and other dogs, I am always friendly and easygoing. I am a very social girl who enjoys contact with other dogs, although I can sometimes be a bit boisterous and need to learn to calm down. Indoors, I can relax well after being active and am generally calm. Due to my past experiences and current challenges, I have specific requirements for my new home: Outside, the world is often still very exciting and overwhelming for me, which is why I tend to sniff a lot and pick up objects from the ground. My leash manners and frustration tolerance, especially when it comes to food, require continued consistent work. Furthermore, from late afternoon and evening onwards, I exhibit behavioral problems in the form of severe overstimulation, which can manifest as frustration and aggressive barking or snapping. I quickly become tunnel-visioned, which is why I urgently need a very experienced, clear, and confident home that can safely manage these escalations and offer me absolute peace and quiet. Health-wise, there are a few issues that need to be monitored: I have hip dysplasia, a pelvic bladder, and possible sphincter weakness (which is why I have trouble holding my bladder in the evenings). My kidney values (SDMA at 16, increased fluid intake) could also require veterinary attention and management. All veterinary reports are complete. I am looking for a quiet, dog-experienced home without children, ideally with sensitive people who have experience with dog behavior management and aren't under time pressure. I need someone who can guide me safely through the day and show me that I can relax. Please familiarize yourselves with the 3-3-3 rule for rescue dogs beforehand so you can properly assess my adjustment period. Who will give me the chance to gain their trust step by step with patience, understanding, and clear guidance? I am being rehomed through the animal welfare organization SOS Forgotten Paws e.V. with a protection contract and for a protection fee of €550. I am, of course, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and neutered. I am also already registered with Tasso. A suitable and nearly new safety harness and leash will be purchased through our organization. This starter kit ensures that I feel safe, secure, and well cared for right from the start.
