Spike

Spike is a German Shepherd mix born in 2018. His previous owners gave him to us because they could no longer keep him due to a separation. He absolutely needs people with experience with dogs. Due to his breed, he reacts strongly to movement stimuli and displays territorial behavior. In stressful situations, he barks at his owner and definitely needs someone to set his boundaries, as he hasn't had much training yet. Spike is constantly trying things out and sometimes crosses boundaries. He is sociable with other dogs and enjoys running in groups. He definitely needs work, and you have to stay on top of things. There should be no children in the household. He is also a climbing maven and very alert. Anyone willing to give Spike support and become his anchor will gain a loyal companion, as he is a diamond in the rough that still needs to be polished.
