Shiva

Shiva came to us as a surrendered dog. Another organization had placed Shiva and another dog with elderly previous owners, who soon became unable to care for them due to health reasons and surrendered them to us. Shiva was initially insecure around people and didn't crave their company, preferring to stay outside with the group of dogs. She is now adapting very well to the new rules. Shiva has learned that she doesn't make the decisions, such as whether or not to go for a walk. She has been regularly attending everyday training sessions at the dog school for some time now and is making great progress. When she sees familiar people, she is overjoyed and loves to cuddle. We are looking for a new home for Shiva. An active family that will continue to provide her with the necessary support, but also clearly define rules and responsibilities. A confident, established dog is welcome. Older children are generally not a problem. Shiva has exhibited territorial behavior in the past. If left unchecked in her new home, she may revert to old patterns and bite visitors. She will still require a muzzle in certain situations (e.g., vet visits, visitors), especially initially. However, she wears it without any issues.
