Pauline

We adopted Pauline, a mixed-breed dog, along with her six puppies from one of our member associations. They originally came from an animal hoarding case. Pauline and her puppies Skye, Rubble, Marshall, Rocky, Chase, and Ryder have settled in wonderfully with us, but now it's time for them to find a wonderful home.

At first, Pauline was very insecure around us and defended her puppies. Pauline has now become so used to us and the interaction with her and her puppies that this is no longer a problem. She is now friendly and open towards us. She is initially suspicious of strangers and tries to keep them at a distance by barking. Once the owner has gained her trust after a short period of getting to know her, Pauline shows interest, willingness to learn, and cooperation.

To best prepare Pauline for life in her new home, we are currently working on getting her used to a collar, harness, and leash.

For Pauline, we are looking for patient people who will stick with her through thick and thin and show her the good things in life. With a little empathy and training, Pauline will become a very loyal companion.

The adoption process for one of our dogs is usually as follows:

At least three visits to Sonnenhof are planned. These visits are important to us because during this time, you can get to know your potential foster, and he can get to know you. Before the dog can finally move in with you, we will conduct a preliminary inspection at your home.
