We took Molly in from one of our member associations after she came to the shelter from an animal hoarding case.
Molly is a pretty Border Collie mix who is initially cautious and insecure around new people and unfamiliar situations. She needs some time to build trust and open herself up to new impressions. Once she has become familiar with a situation, she can always adapt to it better. Molly has already made great progress in recent weeks: she is now used to her collar, harness, and leash and has successfully completed her first walks. We are currently practicing car rides with her so that she can go on outings in the future. Molly is a sensitive and eager-to-learn dog who still wants to discover and learn a lot. A confident, established dog in her new home would be a great help to her, but is not a requirement for adoption. We are looking for dedicated and empathetic people for Molly who would enjoy accompanying her on her journey and learning alongside her. She needs people who approach her with calm and patience, give her the necessary time, and introduce her to new things step by step. The adoption process for one of our dogs usually proceeds as follows: At least three visits to Sonnenhof are planned. These visits are very important to us, as they allow you to get to know your potential new companion, and vice versa. Before the dog can finally move in with you, we will conduct a home visit.
