Atze has developed tremendously during his time with us. He responds extremely well to body language corrections and guidance and has learned to tolerate frustration and trust his owners. He is an open-minded, intelligent, eager-to-learn, and affectionate dog. Atze is currently living in a foster home where he is continuing to work with him on his specific needs. He now handles various situations (e.g., crowds, vehicles, movement stimuli) that previously unsettled him and caused him to redirect his attention to people with great confidence. He is sociable with other dogs, and it's welcome to have a confident dog already present, but this isn't necessary. We are looking for people with experience with the breed who will continue to work with him calmly, patiently, and consistently, as this will make Atze a truly wonderful companion. Since he has a tendency to overreact to movement stimuli, this should of course not be stimulated by additional ball games, throwing sticks or using a teaser.
