The Labrador mix Tobi came to us at Sonnenhof together with Paco from one of our member associations. Originally, the two came to an animal shelter because their previous owners had sadly passed away.
Tobi is a sensitive dog who initially approaches strangers with uncertainty. Especially if the other person is also uncertain, he tries to create distance by barking. With patience and clear leadership, he gains trust and then shows his cheerful, playful side. He loves to play, especially with balls, and is always enthusiastic about treats. Tobi still pulls quite strongly on the leash, but he is eager to learn and needs consistent training. Experience in handling insecure dogs is therefore important for his future owners. Tobi gets along with other dogs depending on their compatibility. However, his best friend Paco is especially dear to him.
We are looking for a loving, experienced home for Tobi where he will find security, clear structures, and plenty of activity. Anyone who approaches him with calm and understanding will gain a loyal and cheerful companion.
The adoption process for one of our dogs usually proceeds as follows:
At least three visits to Sonnenhof are planned. These visits are very important to us, because during this time you can get to know your potential new companion, and he can get to know you. Before the dog can finally move in with you, we will conduct a home visit.
