I'm Charly

My owner unfortunately could no longer care for me due to serious health problems, and now I'm looking for a new, very quiet home.

Would you like to know more about me?

I'm people-oriented, cuddly, and intelligent. I'm also lively and love to be active. I know, of course, that I look incredibly cute—but even as a small dog, I want to be taken seriously. I need rules, training, and consistency, just like all other dogs.

I used to live only in a rural area with woods and have always found the city scary, just like strangers.

I was very active and learned very quickly—I'm a clever little guy, but still not to be underestimated (keyword: resource management). Being stared at, etc., is definitely not my thing.

At first, I'm a bit wary of strangers and need some time to build trust. But then I'm very affectionate with my people. However, with strangers, I quickly become protective of my food and sometimes even show my teeth out of insecurity. I might even snap if something doesn't suit me. Therefore, there shouldn't be any children in my new home.

I love long walks and swimming. I don't necessarily need other dogs around me; I'm not very open with them. I'll also snap if things get too much for me, my personal space isn't respected, or I feel my food is threatened.

I'm looking for people who will primarily stimulate my mind, give me time to build trust, and take me seriously as a dog. I need someone with a lot of patience, time, and experience.

So, does that sound like a good fit for us? I'm really looking forward to my new life.
