I'm Cobi
… and I came to the shelter because something unfortunately changed for me.
My family had to board me at another shelter for an extended period due to an accident, so that I could be cared for. But back home, problems suddenly arose, and I bit someone when they were putting on my muzzle. 🙁
What's going on? I'm sure we'll get through this together.
I'm quite anxious and insecure; my time at the other shelter scared me somehow—I was also very young there, which naturally leaves its mark. With my caregivers, I'm cuddly, affectionate, and generally a gentle giant.
I can… The basic commands and riding well in the car.
We still need to work on that. My leash manners leave something to be desired at the moment. I also really don't like being left alone; we have to practice that patiently.
I wish for people who will give me security, take me by the hand, and confidently guide me through new situations. I like to cuddle, but I don't want to be overwhelmed; so you should learn to read me well before expecting too much from me. Ideally, I'd like experienced dog owners, preferably experienced with the breed, who are familiar with insecurity in dogs.
Will you help me get back to my dog life?
