Günni is in a class of his own: As a very insecure and easily overstimulated dog, he was returned from adoption after more than a year. Günni's insecurity caused him to lunge forward, and he couldn't take a calm step outside. He barked intensely at everything and everyone.
Günni is definitely not an easy dog and is looking for particularly empathetic and experienced dog owners, ideally just two people, without children or small animals. His compatibility with other dogs needs to be assessed. He has been in his foster home since the end of October 2021 and has now moved to the Varlosen dog shelter.
From the very beginning, Günni couldn't calmly step out the front door, as everything in the city stressed him out (children, people, bicycles). He is somewhat more relaxed in a rural setting.
A new foster home or a quiet home where Günni can receive plenty of time and patience for positive reinforcement-free dog training would be wonderful. We are happy to assist in finding a competent dog training school that uses positive reinforcement methods. His foster home also has an Instagram account where some pictures of Günni are shared. He can be met in Varlosen by appointment. Note: Günni currently has a castration implant.
