May we introduce: the charming Mr. Mangy, an old warhorse with a colorful past. Unfortunately, Mr. Mangy was overlooked for far too long. He lived at a trapping site where he was seen daily by countless people – including veterinary officials and veterinarians – but no one helped him. When he came to us, his condition was almost unbearable: He was completely starved, dehydrated, covered in parasites, had painful teeth (FORL), and was unneutered, with a docked tail. It is incomprehensible why this gentle tomcat had to suffer for so long. We acted immediately to help Mr. Mangy. He was neutered and his teeth were treated, because the pain was so great that he could hardly eat or groom himself – a terrible condition for such a clean cat. After the operations, it immediately became clear what a lively spirit he possessed. And here begins the beautiful part of his story: After the dental treatment and neutering, Mr. Mangy began to eat... and eat... and eat! Who is surprised by that? Above all, it became clear what an incredible heart he has. He is a truly lovable and cuddly cat who enjoys lying on his belly, kicking contentedly, and purring to his heart's content. This gentle senior European Shorthair longs for a home where he will finally receive the attention and affection that has been denied him for so long.
